Alfonso Egaña Huerta

Curriculum

He was born in Bilbao (Biscay) in 1967. He has a degree in law and business studies from the ICADE Business School (Universidad Pontificia Comillas in Madrid) and an Executive MBA from the IESE Business School.

  • He began his career in 1991 at KPMG PEAT MARWICK. His career set off down a new path in 1992 at the Ferrovial Group, where he eventually led the Management Control Unit.
  • He assumed the role of General Manager of Ploder Concesiones in 2007, representing the group on the boards of directors of concessionaires and the companies managed by the contracting authorities. He joined the Assignia Infraestructuras Group in 2008, where he remained until 2010 when he joined the Isolux Corsan Group as Chief Financial Officer.
  • He was appointed Corporate General Manager of Isolux Infrastructure in 2012, an asset management company in the fields of transport (1,640 kilometres of motorway in five countries), electricity power lines (6,000 kilometres of power lines in three countries) and solar photovoltaic power generation (284 MW in seven countries).
  • He joined Global Power Generation (GPG) as Chief Officer in September 2015.
Lluís Noguera Pujol-Xicoy
Chief Executive

Curriculum

Born in Barcelona, in 1980. He is a Senior Telecommunications Engineer from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and completed management studies at the Imperial College London Business School. He has also completed various specialisation courses at AIF-INSEAD, IESE Business School and Oxford Said Business School.

He began his professional career at the transport company TNT in Amsterdam, where he formed part of the strategy team responsible for consolidating the logistics division.

  • In 2005, he joined the investment banking division of J.P. Morgan, where he held a variety of roles related to the mergers and acquisitions units in London and Madrid. He has worked for Gas Natural Fenosa since 2008 as the Mergers, Acquisitions and Partnerships Director.
  • He joined Global Power Generation in 2015 as Development Director, where he was appointed Chief Executive in April 2016.
Francisco Antonio Bustío Gutiérrez
Chief of Operations

Curriculum

Born in Laredo (Cantabria), in 1968. He is a Senior Civil Engineer from the University of Santander and holds an Executive MBA from the IESE Business School.

  • He began his career in 1992 in the engineering department at Nuclenor, where he worked for the Santa María de Garoña nuclear power plant. He joined Unión Fenosa in 1996 and managed the Hydroelectricity Generation Unit for five years. He has been Managing Director of Sogama, a public-private company that operates an electricity generation plant from Solid Urban Wastes (SUW).
  • He later managed the Technical Project Management unit within the General Generation Management and, some time later, assumed management of the Group’s electricity generation assets development. At the end of 2012 he was appointed general manager of O&M Energy.
  • He joined Global Power Generation (GPG) in 2014 as Development Director. He subsequently held the position of Assistant Operations Director and was appointed Operations Director in April 2016.
Ricardo Izquierdo Labella
Chief of Engineering and Construction

Curriculum

He was born in Alcira (Valencia) in 1966. He is a Naval Engineer, graduate from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, and also studied the Executive Development Programme run by the IE Business School.

He began his career at Equipos Nucleares ENSA (SEPI Group) in 1991, where he managed various projects (decommissioning of the Vandellós I Nuclear Power Plant) and was later appointed Head of Marketing and Sales.

  • He joined the group in 2000, at Soluziona Ingeniería, where he held a number of different positions: Director of Procurement, Planning and Estimates, and subsequently Operations Director.
  • He was appointed Electricity Operations Director in 2009 at the Engineering and Technology department, and subsequently Operations Director (Gas and Electricity) in the same department.
  • In October 2014, he was appointed Engineering and Construction Director of Global Power Generation (GPG).
Julio Fournier Fisas
Chief of Development

Curriculum

Born in Barcelona, in 1982. He has a Degree in Business Administration and Law from Universidad Pompeu Fabra [Pompeu Fabra University] and completed post-graduate studies in Financing and Investment in Renewable Energies at the Instituto de Estudios Bursátiles [Stock Market Studies Institute].

He began his professional career at Aguirre Newman, where he held the position of Valuations Director Barcelona.

  • In 2010, Julio joined the renewable energies industry with a focus on development and M&A.
  • In 2011, he was involved in the start of SunEdison’s expansion in Latin America, where he was responsible for the development and purchase of projects and the negotiation and closure of long-term PPA contracts.
  • In 2014, he joined the TerraForm group as Director for Latin America, actively involved in the TerraForm Global IPO process and responsible for the share purchase transactions in Latin America.

He joined Global Power Generation in March 2017 as Development Director
